About our wedding planning service:
It was first class considering the build work that was going on around your ears at the time. What was really good was your checklist that you used on the laptop. This meant that neither of us forgot anything which meant nothing was left until the last minute.
The service was first class - even though we only had a small number of guests everyone commented on how wonderful the place looked and the food was more than we expected. I would recommend the “hot/cold buffet” to anyone as everyone was catered for, including my niece who has special dietary needs.
We would change absolutely nothing - the whole day was superb with all the guests really enjoying themselves and your staff were wonderful - both you and Edd could not have done anything more for us. The resident DJ played just the right sort of music and wasn&t intrusive and played what we wanted (which makes a change nowadays).
Most certainly - I think by having a venue such as “Plantations” it lends itself to the sort of wedding where everyone is involved from the minute they arrive, right through until the end of the day.

We just wanted to write to you and express our sincere appreciation for everything you did to make our wedding day and evening so special.
As you know, we had looked at several other venues before yours but none could beat, or even come close, to the beautiful setting and fantastic venue that you offer.
We wanted a venue where we could really enjoy our wedding day and reception, where our guests would really enjoy themselves and where we all felt comfortable and at ease. We certainly got that and then some!
We only had a short time to organise things and would never have been able to do it without the sheer expertise of Lucy and the contacts within the industry that she has. From the cake to flowers, from buffets and barbecues to cars, from bouncy castles to balloons, Lucy knew exactly who to contact and who to go to to sort it out for us. It really was a dream to be able to tell her what we wanted and have her completely take it out of our hands and sort with the utmost care, consideration and professionalism.
Our wedding day was made by Plantations - by the venue, the owners and the staff who worked the reception.
We ended up having a barbecue which was very professionally done and with wonderful (and more than enough!!!) food. We had a bouncy castle for the children and a superb DJ for the evening all organised by Lucy.
We really couldn't have asked for anymore - an idyllic setting, a wonderful reception and a beautiful old barn venue. It was the stuff that dreams are made of!
We can't thank you enough and would highly recommend you to anyone and everyone!

Myself & my sister celebrated our 50th & 60th birthdays at Plantations Restaurant. The service we received from beginning to end was just wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They sorted out the music, the food and the wine. The bar service and staff were great once again with nothing was too much trouble for them.
Organising parties can be very stressful, but Lucy and the staff at Plantations took all this away from us. The service and care and attention that was put into our party were second to none, which enabled us to enjoy and celebrate our special birthdays with all our friends and family. We would have no hesitation in recommending Plantations for any event. We look forward to booking our next party there. Thank you Lucy and all your wonderful staff!

About our wedding planning service:
What can I say other than excellent! We really appreciated Plantations' flexibility on timings and menu choices. It shouldn't be, but a lot of suppliers seemed to forget it's the most important day of our lives, whereas we really felt Lucy understood us. This is something that is lacking in the majority of places today, but not at Plantations! Here it comes in bucket loads and we've recommended them ever since.
About the service on their day:
Our day, as with everyone's, is the most important and special day. Everyone at Plantations goes over and above what I would describe as excellent service. We couldn't have asked for anything more and the food was ace!
Jamie's Overall:
I couldn't recommend Plantations and all the staff there enough. I'm sure that there maybe some cynical people out there, but I'd assure you that all of the above is true and you should definitely do it as you will NOT be disappointed!
Fiona's Overall:
We really appreciated how much Lucy and the team took our happiness and plans into account, and the price was beyond reasonable. I remember Jamie and I talking before the wedding about whether if we won the lottery if we'd change our wedding plans and decided we probably wouldn't. We had the same conversation on honeymoon and decided we definitely wouldn't have changed a thing. Thank you xx

Back in June 2008, soon after our engagement, Dave and I looked around for a wedding reception venue. We visited Plantations Restaurant and both fell in love with the venue on our first visit.
Lucy gave us a full tour of the venue, both inside and out. With pre-planned menus to help us decide on the catering arrangements, we found the arrangements to be just what we wanted.
From previous experience, Lucy was able to recommend other local businesses for our wedding day too eg. Ceili band; florist; marquee; and photographer, etc.
We liked: the country style/rustic interior design; the use of local suppliers and staff; having sole use of the venue; the fishing lakes and fields for photographs; the helpfulness and friendliness of both.
Lucy and her team – nothing was too much to ask, both beforehand, and on the day.
In January 2009, after a subsequent visit, to talk about the finer details for our wedding day (18 April 2009), Lucy prepared a checklist of things that needed to be discussed and organised. With Lucy's wedding venue experience, I felt confident that she had it all covered. During this visit, Lucy explained their plans to refurbish part of the building in the spring, to create a second function room. We were very excited about this as we were able to use it as an additional space for us to hold our welcome drinks on arrival. After a lot of blood, sweat and tears, the refurbishment looked amazing and we were privileged to be the first people to use the new room. It looked amazing – they did a really good job.
Lucy and her team had a huge part to play on our wedding day and we have some lovely memories and photographs to cherish.
We were very happy with the day's events, from beginning to end, and would highly recommend Plantations Restaurant as a wedding venue to any future bride and groom.
